FAQs

Here’s how PROCAS compares to other solutions in the market, such as Deltek Costpoint and Unanet.

PROCAS is designed to support DCAA compliance requirements for government contractors.

PROCAS complies with SOC 2 standards for operational security and availability, and is prepared for CMMC 2.0 requirements.

PROCAS owns all primary and backup servers, which are located in two geographically separated US-based datacenters. All systems follow a monthly maintenance schedule. Data is backed up daily and an off-site copy is immediately sent to the secondary datacenter. Additionally, key application systems are replicated from the primary to the secondary site in near-real-time. Annual disaster recovery (DR) exercises are performed, during which the replicated systems are made live at our secondary datacenter, and we run the systems from there for one or more weeks before reversing the process back to the primary datacenter. During the DR exercise the data replication is reversed so we always have the ability to recover the data.

The Standard Form 1408 (SF1408) is an adequacy checklist a prospective government contractor’s accounting system must satisfy prior to the award of certain government contracts. PROCAS software is designed to meet these standards.

PROCAS software provides the tools needed to record costs and hours, report on and invoice cost-type contracts.

PROCAS standard reports include all necessary accounting reports needed for ICS. This includes schedules A-E, H, I, K, and L.

Indirect rates can be calculated and applied at any time, allocating indirect costs across projects. PROCAS supports a broad spectrum of rate structures including multiple overhead rates, intermediate cost pools, service centers, and more.

PROCAS releases updates on a two-week software refresh cycle, which can include system enhancements, new features, new reports, new integrations, and bug fixes. Cybersecurity updates are performed regularly during our monthly infrastructure maintenance, and as needed.

Integrations are included with the standard PROCAS subscription. These include options for single sign on, banking, credit cards, payroll, and human resources. For more information visit our Integration Partners Page.

PROCAS is much more than an accounting system. Integrated timekeeping, expense reporting, indirect rates calculation and application, project management reporting, purchase orders, financial and project budgeting, and invoicing all flow seamlessly with the General Ledger.

In addition to being built for DCAA compliance, PROCAS Timesheet details transfer to the General Ledger for automated labor cost distribution and project costing.

PROCAS implementations are seen through to completion with a senior consultant who specializes in government contract accounting. Setup and training are done with live data and includes activating timekeeping and expense reporting, completing accounting functions, as well as month-end processes including bank reconciliations and preparing financial and project reports. Much of the data entry for the setup and opening balances can be completed by uploading files.

Our US-based support team is available to all PROCAS clients as part of their monthly subscription. Documentation and training videos are easily accessible to share with employees.

PROCAS is supported by industry professionals who offer a variety of services to government contractors. For more information visit our Service Partners Page.

PROCAS comes with a comprehensive set of standard reports, with the ability to customize to make your own versions. Built-in dashboards that work out-of-the-box, with no additional setup, are available to be shared with all users as appropriate.

PROCAS supports government contractors, from small startups to large established businesses. Companies looking to become DCAA compliant, support cost reimbursable contracting, and/or consolidate business systems find PROCAS to be an especially good fit.

PROCAS is a great fit for prime contractors and subcontractors alike. It is a building block for subcontractors to eventually become prime contractors.

Yes, PROCAS software provides the tools needed to track your health and welfare and SCA wages per contract.
